Massive Success for 71st Mega Job Fair Organized by DBU in Collaboration with Cluster University of Jammu, NIELIT Jammu, and NDA

JAMMU, June 23: Desh Bhagat University (DBU), in collaboration with Cluster University of Jammu, NIELIT Jammu, and the Nations Development Association (NDA), successfully organized the 71st Mega Job Fair at Government College for Women, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu. The fair recorded an overwhelming response with 3,759 registrations, participation from 57 leading companies, and 270 candidates placed, while 510 were shortlisted for further recruitment processes. The event offered employment opportunities across diverse sectors, with the highest salary package reaching up to ₹6 LPA.

Prominent recruiters included Paytm, Eruson, SMDD, Kalika, HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, Jamkash Vehicles, Take One, Nutraj, Delhivery, The Shri Ram Universal School, JMCC, among others. The fair served as a dynamic platform for bridging industry and academia, and empowering local talent with meaningful career opportunities.

The event was graced by Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha, who personally distributed appointment letters to selected candidates, reflecting the government’s strong commitment to employment generation and youth upliftment. Shantmanu (IAS), Additional Chief Secretary, also visited the fair and praised the collaborative efforts of the organizers in hosting such a comprehensive and impactful initiative.

Distinguished dignitaries present included Dr. K.S. Chandraseker, Vice Chancellor, Cluster University of Jammu; Dr. Sandeep Singh, President, Desh Bhagat University, Punjab; Dr. Geetanjali Andotra, Principal, GCW Gandhi Nagar; Ms. Kanchan Koul, Placement Incharge, NIELIT Jammu; Mr. Sushil Singh Charak, Chief Functionary, Nations Development Association; and Ms. Pooja Kathuria, Head of Placements, DBU.

The 71st Mega Job Fair stood as a shining example of collective effort, innovation, and commitment to creating employment avenues for the youth of Jammu and Kashmir, reinforcing the region’s path toward economic growth and self-reliance.
