On March 28th, a devastating 7.7-magnitude earthquake struck central Myanmar, causing widespread destruction and loss of life. The quake’s epicenter was near Mandalay, and its tremors were felt as far away as Bangkok, Thailand. In Myanmar, numerous buildings collapsed, including religious structures and residential homes.

In Taungoo, a mosque partially collapsed, resulting in multiple fatalities. Additionally, a hotel in Aung Ban collapsed, leading to further casualties.

In Bangkok, an under-construction skyscraper near the Chatuchak Market collapsed, killing at least three people and leaving nearly 100 others missing.
