NOTORIOUS CRIMINAL BOOKED UNDER PSA BY SAMBA POLICE
Samba, December 30: Acting tough against criminals, Samba Police today booked a notorious criminal from the jurisdiction of Police Station Ramgarh under the Jammu & Kashmir Public Safety Act (PSA) and lodged him in District Jail Kathua.
The notorious criminal namely Sunil Kumar S/o Amarjeet Lal R/o Radwan tehsil Ramgarh district Samba has been booked under PSA after obtaining formal detention order from the District Magistrate Samba. The booked criminal has been subsequently lodged in District Jail Kathua.
The said criminal is involved in multiple cases registered against him at PS Ramgarh, PS Ghagwal of district Samba and PS Kathua, PS Rajbagh, PS Billawar of district Kathua. The repeated criminal activities of the said notorious criminal have posed a serious threat to public peace and tranquility in the region.
In order to refrain the subject from indulging in criminal activities, a dossier under PSA was recommended against the subject, upon which the District Magistrate Samba after getting satisfied issued a PSA warrant against him.
The arrest was made by a police team headed by SHO PS Ramgarh under the supervision of SDPO Vijaypur and under the overall supervision of SSP Samba.
The locals have highly appreciated the efforts of the Samba Police in curbing the criminal activities in the area.
