Samba, April 11: In order to curb the criminal activities in the district, Samba Police under the overall supervision of SSP Samba Vinay Kumar, JKPS has detained and lodged in jail notorious criminal Sahil Chodhary @ Shallu under the Jammu & Kashmir Public Safety Act (PSA).
The notorious criminal Sahil Chodhary @ Shallu S/o Vijay Kumar R/o Rangoor Camp, Ramgarh, district Samba has been involved in a number of criminal cases including attempt to murder, theft, extortions, cases under Arms Act & other illegal activities and various FIRs have been registered against him at PS Ramgarh, PS Vijaypur and PS Bishnah. His criminal activities have posed a serious threat to public peace and tranquillity.
Following his repeated engagement in criminal activities, detention order was issued by the District Magistrate Samba based on detailed dossier prepared by SSP Samba. The police team led by SHO PS Ramgharh successfully executed the warrant, detained the notorious criminal Sahil Chodhary @ Shallu and lodged in District Jail Jammu.
This successful operation shows the commitment of Samba Police towards ensuring safety of the public and its resolve to counter criminal activities.
