Omar Abdullah Reaffirms Commitment to Preserving J&K’s Identity, Advancing Development
Srinagar, Dec 7: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Friday reiterated his government’s unwavering commitment to fulfilling its promises while preserving the region’s unique identity. Addressing a working committee meeting with provincial functionaries at the National Conference (NC) headquarters, Nawa-e-Subha, Abdullah outlined the government’s dual focus on development and dignity.
“The civilian government is diligently working towards fulfilling the promises outlined in the party’s election manifesto, with a steadfast commitment to preserving the distinct identity of the region,” Abdullah stated.
The meeting, chaired by Abdullah in his capacity as NC Vice President, discussed critical party issues and pressing public concerns. Highlighting the developmental challenges faced over the past decade, Abdullah stressed that the government remains resolute in its mission to address them.
“There can be no trade-off between the progress of Jammu and Kashmir and the dignity of its people,” he said. “Both must advance hand in hand.”
The Chief Minister reaffirmed his pledge to restore statehood to Jammu and Kashmir, address public grievances, and ensure holistic development across the region. Party spokespersons hailed Abdullah’s leadership, emphasizing that the government’s approach prioritizes both tangible progress and the preservation of the region’s cultural and political identity.
The NC meeting underscored the party’s vision to balance development with safeguarding the region’s unique identity, aiming to bring tangible benefits to the people while addressing their aspirations and concerns.
