Indian female wrestler Vinesh Phogat has created history in Paris Olympics 2024. Vinesh has made it to the finals by defeating Cuban wrestler Guzman Lopez 5-0 in the semi-finals of 50 kg freestyle wrestling. With this historic win, Vinesh’s silver medal is confirmed. In this way, Vinesh has become the second female wrestler to win a medal in the Olympics. Earlier, Sakshi Malik had won the bronze medal for India in women’s wrestling. If Vinesh manages to win the final, she will not only become the first female wrestler but also the first Indian female athlete to win a gold medal in Olympic history.
