PM Modi Highlights Transformation in Kashmir: Vows Increased Welfare Schemes if BJP Wins Elections
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing a huge gathering, highlighted the transformative changes in Kashmir over the last five years under the BJP’s governance. Drawing a stark comparison with the past, PM Modi remarked, “In the last 35 years, Kashmir remained closed for almost 3,000 days, equivalent to 8 years of shutdowns. However, in the last 5 years, there hasn’t been a closure for even 8 hours, showcasing the restored stability and peace.”He further promised that if the BJP government is formed in Jammu and Kashmir, the welfare schemes would be expanded. “Instead of Rs 6,000, Rs 10,000 will be deposited annually into the bank accounts of everyone, and Rs 18,000 will be deposited into the account of the oldest woman in every family,” he announced, ensuring significant financial support for the residents.PM Modi also emphasized the government’s focus on education, revealing plans to bring 50,000 school dropouts back into the education system. “The youth are now carrying pens and books instead of stones,” he stated, underscoring the positive shift among the region’s younger generation.Criticizing political dynasties, he said, “Three families here consider the politics of Jammu and Kashmir as their fiefdom. Congress, National Conference, and PDP divided the region, while the BJP is uniting everyone.” PM Modi reiterated his commitment to bridging the “distance between ‘Dil’ (heart) and Delhi,” reaffirming BJP’s dedication to development and unity in the region.
