POLICE ARRESTS BOOTLEGGER WITH 123 BOTTLES OF ILLICIT LIQUOR
Samba September 15: Continuing its drive against the sale of illicit liquor in the Samba district, Police has arrested a bootlegger and recovered 123 bottles of illicit liquor of 750ml & 650ml from his possession in the jurisdiction of Police Station Vijaypur.
A police party of Police Station Vijaypur headed by SHO PS Vijaypur during vehicle checking naka at Main Chowk Vijaypur, intercepted a vehicle Martui Brezza bearing registration No. JK02CF-8037 coming from Samba side for its checking. During checking, 123 bottles of illicit liquor, consisting of 70 bottles of 750 ml and 53 bottles of 650 ml were recovered.
The arrested accused person has been identified as Abhijot Choudhary S/o Labha Ram R/o Nandpur tehsil Ramgarh district Samba.
In this connection, a case FIR No. 126/2024 U/S 48(a) Excise Act has been registered at PS Vijaypur and investigation started.
