Police Attaches Illegal Property of Notorious Drug Peddler in Baramulla

Baramulla, July 11: In its ongoing action against drug peddlers, the police in Baramulla have attached a property (a residential house worth approximately Rs. 23.00 lakhs) belonging to a notorious drug peddler, Mohd Sabir Barwal, son of Faqeer Ali, a resident of Jabda Kamalkote, currently residing in Laghama Uri. This action was taken under sections 68-E read with 68-F (1) of the NDPS Act of 1985 and is linked with case FIR No. 17/2022 under sections 8/21 and 29 of the NDPS Act of PS Uri.bThe property was identified as illegally acquired during the course of the investigation conducted by the police.This operation reaffirms the police’s commitment to combatting the drug menace. Community members are urged to come forward with any information regarding drug peddling in their neighborhoods. Those found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt with according to the law.
