In a special drive to check on the activities of foreigner’s nationals, Ramban Police has registered one FIR against Foreigners (Rohingya and Bangladeshi nationals) and their facilitators for illegally procuring Indian identity documents like, Domicile Certificates, Aadhaar Cards, Ration Cards, Voter ID Cards and PAN Cards etc. and illegally staying in District Ramban.
After conducting a detailed discrete enquiry regarding illegall stay of foreigners (Rohingyas and Bangladeshi nationals) at various locations of this District a case FIR No. 33/2023 under relevant provisions of law has been registered at PS Dharamkund against the accused persons namely 01. Dilara Begum D/O Syed Alam R/O Myanmar (Burma) A/P W/O Mohd Ayaz R/O Batli Gandhri Tehsil & District Ramban.
During the further course of investigation another Rohingya lady namely Rafiqa Begum D/O Hamid Hussain R/O Myanmar (Burma) A/P W/O Gulzar Ahmed Bhat R/O Hapat Nad Tehsil Pahalgam District Anantnag and her local associate Manzoor Ahmed S/O Mohd Manawar Shaksaaz R/O Verinag Tehsil Verinag District Anantnag, who remained associated with trafficking of aforesaid lady Dilara, were arrested in the instant case.
During course of on-going investigation Police has conducted house searches and recovered incriminating materials which are seized as evidences in the instant case. It is pertinent to mention here that investigation of the case has also been set into motion to ascertain the facilitators and government employees involved in providing Indian identity documents and other allied assistance to these foreigners so that such helping hands could be booked as well.
