POLICE FOILS BOVINE SMUGGLING ATTEMPT, RESCUES 12 BOVINES, SEIZES VEHICLE
Samba, May 15: Tightening noose on bovine smugglers and their propagators, Police has today foiled a bovine smuggling attempt in the jurisdiction of Police Station Ghagwal, rescued twelve bovines from the clutches of bovine smugglers and seized vehicle used in the transportation of bovines. A Police party of Police Station Ghagwal headed by SHO PS Ghagwal during vehicle checking at NHW Naka Tapyal, intercepted a truck bearing registration No. JK21B-1314 for its checking. During vehicle checking, twelve bovines were found laden inside the vehicle which were tied in a cruel manner and were being transported illegally without any valid permission. All the rescued bovines have been shifted to safer place. A case FIR No. 69/2024 U/S 188 IPC, 11 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Ghagwal and investigation started.
