Ramban Administration Ensures Robust Arrangements for Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2025 at Lamber Camp, Banihal

Banihal, July 4, 2025: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ramban, Mohammad Alyas Khan, along with Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Varunjeet Singh Charak, conducted a thorough inspection of health and essential facilities at the Yatra Camp in Lamber, Banihal, to ensure a seamless and safe pilgrimage experience for Shri Amarnath Ji Yatris. The visit underscores the district administration’s commitment to facilitating the annual pilgrimage, which commenced on July 3, 2025, amidst heightened security and meticulous planning.During the inspection, DC Khan reviewed critical arrangements, including medical camps, sanitation facilities, drinking water, power supply, and accommodation for pilgrims. The administration has prioritized health services, with 17 medical camps and mini hospitals established across Ramban district, supported by deployed ambulances to address emergencies. These measures are particularly significant following the April 2025 Pahalgam terror attack, which heightened the focus on pilgrim safety.DC Khan emphasized the administration’s dedication to providing a secure and comfortable journey for devotees, stating, “We have made comprehensive arrangements to ensure the well-being of Amarnath Yatris at every stage of their pilgrimage.” ADC Charak echoed this sentiment, highlighting the collaborative efforts of various departments to maintain high standards of service at the camp.The Lamber Yatra Camp, a key stopover on the route from Nashri to Banihal, is equipped to handle the influx of pilgrims traveling via the traditional Pahalgam and Baltal routes. The administration’s proactive measures have been praised by pilgrims, with many expressing satisfaction over the facilities provided.The 38-day Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra, which began on July 3 and will conclude on August 9, has already seen over 12,000 devotees visit the holy cave shrine on its first day.
