Reasi police tighten noose on bovine smuggling: Accused arrested, 37 bovines rescued
Continuing special drive against the bovine smuggler Reasi police foiled bovine smuggling at Katra. During Naka checking at PCP Nomain, one vehicle bearing registration no JK02CX9382 driven by driver namely Mohd Khalid S/O Mohd Dawood R/O Bhaga Tehsil and District Reasi was intercepted for checking and found 37 bovine animal, which were being transported illegally without DM permission.
In this cognizance taken and FIR Registered as Case FIR No. 385/2023 U/S 188/IPC 11PC Act, 2/3 PDPP Act at PS Katra, Vehicle seized and investigation started. The whole operation was led by SHO Katra .
Pertinently Reasi Police under the supervision SSP Reasi established zero tolerance towards Bovines Smuggling and is committed to eradicate the menace of Bovine Smuggling from the District.
