SAMBA POLICE APPREHENDS 17 VAGRANTS NEAR ‘CHITTA’ HOTSPOTS
109 VAGRANTS APPREHENDED NEAR ‘CHITTA’ HOTSPOTS IN PAST ELEVEN MONTHS: SSP SAMBA BENAM TOSH
Samba, Dec 22 : Police has apprehended seventeen (17) vagrants who were found roaming near ‘chitta’ hotspots under preventive sections of Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) in the jurisdiction of Police Station Bari Brahmana , Police Station Vijaypur and Police Post Supwal.
The apprehended vagrants have been identified as Mohd Amir s/o Mushtaq Ahmed r/o Srinagar, Zahoor Ahmed s/o Gulam Mohd r/o Budgam, Bashir Ahmed s/o Sher Khan r/o Kupwara A/P Talab Tilo Jammu, Arjun s/o Raj Kumar r/o Rajasthan, Sukhvinder Singh s/o Joginder Singh r/o Patiala Punjab, Hardeep Singh s/o Jagdev Singh r/o Patiala Punjab, Gagandeep Singh s/o Pritam Singh r/o Udhampur, Narinder Singh s/o Jagan Nath r/o Jammu, Ajay Kumar s/o Kala Ram r/o Jammu, Anil Kumar s/o Ramesh Chander r/o Jammu, Narinder Sangral s/o Bishan Dass r/o Vijaypur, Rahul Kumar s/o Ramesh Chander r/o Vijaypur, Shammi Kumar s/o Basakhi Ram r/o Samba, Rakesh Kumar s/o Ramesh Kumar r/o Samba, Ashwani Kumar s/o Swaran Singh r/o Barian Supwal and two others. All the seventeen vagrants were apprehended while wandering suspiciously near infamous ‘chitta’ hotspots of Balole Khad Bari Brahmana, Sarore Bari Brahmana and Rakh Barotian & thus, appropriate preventive legal action has been taken.
Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh said that a total of One hundred nine (109) vagrants have been apprehended by police near ‘chitta’ hotspots in past eleven months and has appealed to the parents, guardians, teachers and elders of the society to ask senior students and youth to avoid roaming near known ‘chitta’ hotspots as police patrolling has been intensified around suspected hotspots of heroin in Samba district and vagrants are being apprehended.
