SAMBA POLICE ARRESTED 07 NOTORIOUS THIEVES, RECOVERED STOLEN PROPERTY ;
105 THIEVES ARRESTED, 51 THEFT CASES SOLVED IN FIVE & HALF MONTHS : SSP SAMBA BENAM TOSH
Samba, July 3 : Under the guidance of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Samba Benam Tosh, Police has achieved another major success by arresting seven (07) more notorious thieves & recovering stolen property.
The arrested notorious thieves have been identified as Tariq Mehmood s/o Mohd Kabir r/o Thanna Mandi, Rajouri, Sajad s/o Mohd Fazal r/o Thanna Mandi, Rajouri, Nadeem Khan s/o Mohd Kabir r/o Thanna Mandi, Rajouri, Sahil Kumar s/o Raj Kumar r/o Budhwani, Samba, Din Islam s/o Mohd Subhan r/o Delhi A/P Samba, Balbir Singh s/o Dharam Chand r/o Rarian Ramgarh and Deepak Kumar s/o Balbir Singh r/o Rarian Ramgarh.
Tariq Mehmood happens to be a top thief and has been involved in as many as nine (09) cases of thefts, attempt to murder, extortion and NDPS registered against him at Police Station Manjakote Rajouri, Thanna Mandi Rajouri, Nowshera Rajouri, City Rajouri and Satwari Jammu. Another hardcore thief Nadeem Khan is involved in four (04) cases of thefts, attempt to murder and extortion registered at Police Station Manjakote Rajouri, Nowshera Rajouri, and Satwari Jammu. Nadeem Khan was presently most wanted by Rajouri Police who were conducting series of raids to arrest him but he was evading arrest.
Alert Samba Police organized raids, traps, random checkings, nocturnal checkings, nakas and patrolling to arrest the notorious thieves involved in stealing away property belonging to the people, arrested the accused and recovered stolen property. Two vehicles used by the thieves for committing thefts have also been seized by Samba Police.
While three thieves have been arrested in case FIR No.19/2023 u/s 454/380 IPC by a police party headed by SHO Police Station Ghagwal Bharat Bhushan, two thieves have been arrested in case FIR No.165/2023 u/s 379/411 IPC by a police party headed by SHO Police Station Samba Rajeshwar Singh under the supervision of DySP Garu Ram and two thieves have been arrested in case FIR No.78/2023 u/s 379 IPC by a police party headed by SHO Police Station Vijaypur Tribhuwan Khajuria under the supervision of SDPO Vijaypur Rohit Kumar.
Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh said that Samba Police has arrested record one hundred and five (105) thieves in a short span of five and half months only and as many as fifty one (51) theft cases have been solved which is a major success on the part of Samba Police. The intensive drive against thieves launched by Samba Police is still underway and all the thieves involved in theft cases would be arrested soon, he added.
