SAMBA POLICE ARRESTED 11 ACCUSED FOR ASSAULT, CRIMINAL TRESPASS

SSP SAMBA BENAM TOSH APPEALED TO THE PEOPLE TO AVOID TAKING LAW INTO THEIR OWN HANDS

       Samba, Oct 5:  Under the overall supervision of Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh, Police has arrested eleven (11) accused for assault and criminal trespass in two separate cases in the jurisdiction of Police Station Samba.
     Police has arrested seven (7) accused for assault on one Sarpanch at Dhora, Samba and four (4) accused for criminal trespass committed at Krandi, Rakh Amb Talli Samba.

     Sarpanch of Sundla Panchyat of block Khoon of district Udhampur had alleged that his car collided with one youth of Dhora, Samba, following which he was kidnapped, was brutally beaten up by a group of persons and remained admitted to GMC Jammu due to head injury. Samba Police had registered FIR No.231/2023 under relevant sections of law, conducted series of raids and arrested seven accused involved in the manhandling of Sarpanch. Police raids are on and some more arrests are likely. 

      Police has registered another FIR No. 204/2023 under relevant sections of law at PS Samba through PP Rakh Amb Talli upon the complaint of criminal trespass at Krandi and arrested four accused.

     Accused were arrested by SHO P/S Samba Daljit Singh Jamwal and PSI Shakti Singh under the supervision of DySP G.R.Bhardwaj and Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary. 

     Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh has appealed to the people to avoid taking law into their own hands and has issued clear directions to all SHOs of the district to firmly curb lawlessness in Samba district and to take appropriate action under law against those who take law into their own hands over trivial issues and physically assault others.
