SAMBA POLICE ARRESTED 3 NOTORIOUS BOVINE SMUGGLERS
103 Notorious Bovine Smugglers Arrested In Ten Months : SSP Samba Benam Tosh
Samba, Dec 8 : Continuing crackdown on bovine smugglers, Samba police has arrested three (3) notorious bovine smugglers in the jurisdiction of Police Station Vijaypur and Police Post Mansar falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Samba.
The arrested notorious bovine smugglers have been identified as Laquit Ali s/o Abdul Gani r/o Rakh Barotian Vijaypur, Aejaz Ahmed s/o Rahmad Tabeed r/o Kharpora Anantnag and Reyaz Ahmed s/o Mohd Iqbal r/o Miran Sahib Maralian district Jammu.
Three cases : case FIR No.170/2023 u/s 188 IPC, 11 PCA Act of PS Vijaypur, case FIR No. 172/2023 u/s 188 IPC, 11 PCA Act of PS Vijaypur and case FIR No.289/2023 u/s 188 IPC, 11 PCA Act of Police Station Samba through Police Post Mansar stands registered against them and investigation is underway.
The bovine smuggling attempts have been foiled by police teams comprising of SHO Police Station Vijaypur Sandeep Charak, SHO Police Station Samba Daljit Singh and Incharge Police Post Mansar PSI Shakti Singh under the supervision of SDPO Vijaypur Rohit Kumar, DySP Hqrs Samba Bhishm Dubey and Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary.
On the directions of Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh, a total of one hundred three (103) notorious bovine smugglers have been arrested by Samba Police in past ten months after the launch of special drive, eighty three (82) FIRs have been registered against bovine smugglers, seventy two (72) vehicles used for bovine smuggling have been seized and eight hundred twelve (812) bovine animals have been rescued in Samba district.
