SAMBA POLICE ARRESTED 4TH ACCUSED INVOLVED IN LPG GAS PILFERAGE SCANDAL

ALL ACCUSED INVOLVED IN PILFERAGE & BREACH OF TRUST WILL BE ARRESTED : SSP SAMBA BENAM TOSH

Samba, Nov 29 : Samba police has arrested fourth accused involved in LPG gas pilferage  case recently registered at Police Station Samba through Police Post Supwal.

The fourth accused arrested in case FIR No. 274/2023 u/s 3/7 EC Act, 406, 409, 120-B, 285, 413 IPC has been identified as Parveen Singh alias Baghu s/o Gulzar Singh r/o Malwam tehsil Marheen district Kathua.

Earlier, on the intervening night of 15th and 16th of November 2023, police had arrested two accused red-handed while extracting gas from two Indane Gas Tankers and filling it in the commercial cylinders at midnight at Village Chhajwal Barian. The third accused was arrested by police on 19th of November 2023 in the instant case. Now the fourth accused who was the driver of the one Indane Gas Tanker and had fled from the spot on observing the movement of raiding police party has also been arrested. However, the accused driver of second Indane Gas Tanker is still on the run and police is conducting raids to arrest him. Investigation is underway and some more suspects are being questioned in the case.

Initial investigation revealed that the same pilferage of gas from Indane gas tankers had been committed for the last over four months at the same place during midnight hours. The Indane gas tankers coming from Punjab side to Indane LPG Bottling Plant Bari Brahmana, Samba used to come to this particular place i.e Chhajwal Barian, Supwal Samba at odd night hours for pilferage purpose. 

The investigation of the case is being conducted by SHO Police Station Samba Inspector Daljit Singh and Chowki Officer Supwal Deepika Jalotra under the supervision of DySP Hqrs. Samba Bhishm Dubey and Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary. 

Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh said that all accused involved in pilferage & breach of trust would be arrested  and police is conducting raids at suspected places to nab them.
