SAMBA POLICE ARRESTED BOOTLEGGER WITH 44 BOTTLES OF ILLICIT LIQUOR

Samba, Oct 6 : Intensifying its drive against the sale of illicit liquor launched on the directions of Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh, Police has arrested a bootlegger and recovered forty four (44) bottles of illicit liquor of 180 ml each from his possession in the jurisdiction of Police Station Bari Brahmana.

The arrested accused person has been identified as Ravi Kumar s/o Tilak Raj r/o Tibba Deoli tehsil Bishnah district Jammu. 

Acting on a tip-off information about sale of illicit liquor in SIDCO Industrial area Bari Brahmana, a police party of Police Station Bari Brahmana headed by SHO PS Bari Brahmana Sumit Sharma under the supervision of SDPO Bari Brahmana Rahul Nagar and Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary rushed to the spot and caught red-handed the accused person from his own ‘Dhaba’ selling illicit liquor to the general public in the area and recovered 44 bottles of JK Special Whisky of 180 ml each from his possession.

A Case FIR No. 236/2023 u/s 48 (f) Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Bari Brahmana and investigation started.

Samba Police has arrested thirty six (36) notorious bootleggers involved in sale of illicit liquor and registered twenty seven (27) FIRs in short span. Police is continuously and vigorously conducting raids to apprehend the wrongdoers in the district on the directions of SSP Samba Benam Tosh.
