SAMBA POLICE ARRESTED BURGLARS’ KINGPIN “BILLA GUJJAR” AMONG 2 NOTORIOUS THIEVES

135 THIEVES ARRESTED IN EIGHT MONTHS : SSP SAMBA BENAM TOSH

Samba, September 26 : Under the guidance of Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh, Police has arrested burglars’ kingpin “Billa Gujjar” of Udhampur among two thieves in the jurisdiction of Police Station Samba. The arrested notorious thieves have been identified as : Imran Bhat alias Billa Gujjar s/o Sher Mohd. Bhat r/o Sambal Chahkar district Udhampur A/P Kootah Morh tehsil Hiranagar district Kathua and Kishan Pal s/o Hukam Singh r/o Moradabad (Uttar Pradesh) A/P Hatli Morh district Kathua. Hardened thief “Billa Gujjar” was involved in Case FIR No. 220/2023 u/s 457, 380 IPC and FIR No. 221/2023 u/s 457, 380, 427 IPC registered at Police Station Samba through PP Supwal whereas thief Kishan Pal has been arrested in case FIR No. 171/2018 u/s 457/380 IPC registered at Police Station Samba through PP SIDCO during the year 2018. Billa Gujjar of Udhampur was a gang commander of thieves. He had been putting up in Samba in the guise of painter and used to conduct recce of houses along with other members of burglars’ gang operating under him. During odd night hours, he used to struck at the abandoned houses to steal away costly items, cash, etc. The interrogation of Billa Gujjar is going on and some more arrests and recoveries are likely. The arrests have been made by police team comprising of by SHO Police Station Samba Daljit Singh, Incharge Police Post SIDCO Samba PSI Priya Rani and ASI Balbir Kumar of PP Supwal under the supervision of DySP Garu Ram and Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary. Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh said that one hundred thirty five (135) thieves have been arrested by Samba police in eight months and huge stolen property including cash, gold and silver ornaments have been recovered. Police is continuing intensive drive against thieves in Samba district and Gangs of burglars are being busted. Police would solve all theft cases of Samba district and would take stern legal action against thieves.
