SAMBA POLICE ARRESTED DRUG SMUGGLER WITH 24.40 GRAMS HEROIN LIKE SUBSTANCE

Samba, May 05, 2025: Continuing its drive against drug smugglers/peddlers, Samba Police has arrested a drug smuggler in the jurisdiction of Police Station Bari Brahmana and recovered 24.40 grams approximately heroin (chitta) like substance from his possession.

A Police party headed by SHO Police Station Bari Brahmana under the supervision of SDPO Bari Brahmana and under the overall supervision of SSP Samba intercepted a car near BBIA Club having registration No. PB35U-7185 which was coming from Balole Khad and moving towards Bari Brahmana. During checking, 24.40 grams approximately heroin like substance was recovered from the possession of the person driving the car.

The drug smuggler identified as Imran Hussain S/o Mohd Afzal R/o Dhanore Jarallan tehsil & district Rajouri has been arrested and contraband item alongwith vehicle have also been seized.

A case FIR No. 69/2025 U/S 8/21/22/25 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Bari Barhmana and investigation started.
