Samba, April 15: Samba Police under the guidance of SSP Samba Vinay Kumar, JKPS has arrested main murder accused involved in infamous Mohali (Punjab) murder case who was absconding since the commission of crime.
Acting on reliable information, a police team headed by SHO PS Vijaypur apprehended one suspected person in suspicious circumstances in case FIR No. 162/2023 u/s 341/323/392 of PS Vijaypur. During sustained questioning, the accused turned out be main murder accused involved in infamous Mohali (Punjab) murder case in which gangster Rajesh Dogra @ Mohan Cheer was killed due to rivalry between two groups of illegal gangs.
The arrested main murder accused has been identified as Ranjeet Singh @ Rimpa S/o Ashok Singh R/O Langeth Supwal district Samba and was wanted in case FIR No. 19/2024 u/s 302/120-B IPC and 25/54/59 Arms Act of P/S Phase 11 Mohali, Punjab.
The accused Ranjeet Singh @ Rimpa is a hardcore criminal and is also involved in case FIR No. 17/2010 u/s 332/427/504/510 IPC and case FIR No. 71/2016 u/s 332/427/504/510 IPC registered at Police Station Bakshi Nagar district Jammu.
