SAMBA POLICE ARRESTED NOTORIOUS BOVINE SMUGGLER, RESCUED 14 ANIMALS

109 NOTORIOUS BOVINE SMUGGLERS ARRESTED IN ELEVEN & HALF MONTHS: SSP SAMBA BENAM TOSH

Samba, Jan 6 : Continuing stringent legal action against bovine smugglers, Samba police has arrested notorious bovine smuggler, rescued fourteen bovine animals and seized three vehicles in separate bovine smuggling attempts in the jurisdiction of Police Station Samba. 

The arrested bovine smuggler has been identified as Younis Ali s/o Mohd Khalil Bokhda r/o Anantnag A/P Sidhra district Jammu. 

Three Cases--- FIR No. 02/2024 u/s 188 IPC, 11 PCA Act, 03 Prevention of Damage to Public Property (PDPP) Act, 184 MV Act, FIR No. 03/2024  u/s 188 IPC, 11 PCA Act have been registered at Police Samba through Police Post Rakh Amb Talli and FIR No. 07/2024  u/s 279, 429, 188 IPC, 11 PCA Act registered at Police Station Samba & investigation started.  

According to Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh, a total of one hundred nine (109) notorious bovine smugglers have been arrested by Samba Police in past eleven & half months after the launch of special drive, ninety two (92) FIRs have been registered against bovine smugglers, eighty (80) vehicles used for bovine smuggling have been seized and eight hundred fifty two (852) bovine animals have been rescued in Samba district.
