SAMBA POLICE ARRESTED TWO HEROIN SMUGGLERS
80 Narco Smugglers Arrested In Past Eleven Months : SSP Samba Benam
Tosh Samba, Dec 17 : Samba Police has arrested two heroin smugglers, recovered ‘chitta’ worth rupees twenty eight thousand approx. from their possession and seized vehicle used for heroin smuggling in the jurisdiction of Police Station Vijaypur. The arrested accused have been identified as Nirmal Singh s/o Daljeet Singh r/o Mandool kastigarh Doda and Davinder Singh s/o Lal Singh r/o Barrian tehsil and district samba. A case FIR No. 182/2023 under relevant sections of NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Vijaypur and investigation is underway. On the intervening night of 16th and 17th December 2023, a Police party of Police Station Vijaypur nabbed the duo with heroin, a case was registered and investigation was started. Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh said that a total of eighty (80) narco smugglers & suppliers have been arrested by Samba Police in past eleven months and Police is taking strong legal action against perpetrators of heroin trafficking.
