SAMBA POLICE ARRESTED TWO HOOLIGANS UNDER ARMS ACT, GUNDA ELEMENTS ARE BEING BROUGHT TO BOOK: SSP SAMBA BENAM TOSH
Samba, Sept 23 : Under the overall supervision of Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh, Police has arrested two hooligans under Arms Act for possessing & brandishing sharp-edged-weapons (‘Toka’) at two separate public places in the jurisdiction of Police Station Vijaypur of district Samba. The arrested hooligans have been identified as Vikas Sharma s/o Tilak Raj r/o Dilhani tehsil Bishnah district Jammu and Abhi Kumar alias Abi s/o Karam Chand r/o Joian tehsil Arnia district Jammu. Two cases — FIR No. 131/2023 u/s 4/25 Arms Act and FIR No. 130/2023 u/s 4/25 Arms Act have been registered at Police Station Vijaypur and investigation is underway. Accused Vikas of Bishnah has been arrested while possessing and brandishing sharp-edged-weapon (‘Toka’) at a Jagrata organised by people at Jakh, whereas accused Abhi of Arnia has been arrested while possessing and brandishing ‘Toka’ at Rakh Barotian Vijaypur. The hooligans have been arrested by Police team comprising of SHO Vijaypur Sandeep Charak, PSI Sohail Munir and ASI Kulbir Chand under the supervision of SDPO Vjaypur Rohit Kumar and Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary. On the directions of Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh , Police is acting against anti-social gunda elements in the society and ‘gunda’ elements are being brought to book under law in Samba district.
