SAMBA POLICE ARRESTS 2 DRUG PEDDLERS, RECOVERS 185 GRAMS CHARAS
Samba, February 29: Continuing its drive against drug menace, Samba Police has arrested two drug peddlers in the jurisdiction of Police Station Ghagwal and recovered 185 grams approximately Charas like narcotic substance. A Police party of Police Post Rajpura headed by Incharge Police Post Rajpura while performing patrolling duty near village Sanoora has intercepted a person who was moving under suspicious circumstances. During frisking in presence of Executive Magistrate 1st Class, Charas like narcotic substance weighing 185 gms approximately was recovered from his possession which was wrapped in a polythene. The arrested drug peddler identified as Davinder Singh S/o Neter Singh R/o Sanoora tehsil Rajpura district Samba has been arrested. A case FIR No 25/2024 U/S 8/20/29 NDPS Act has been registered against him at Police Station Ghagwal and investigation started. During sustained interrogation of the accused, backward linkage has been worked out and accused namely Saudagar Mal S/o Puri Ram R/o Bhagocha Chack tehsil Hiranagar district Kathua has been arrested in the instant case. Further interrogation is going on.
