SAMBA POLICE ARRESTS 2 NOTORIOUS BOVINE SMUGGLERS, RESCUES BOVINE ANIMALS

84 Bovine Smugglers Arrested, 66 FIRs Registered In Seven Months : SSP Samba Benam Tosh

Samba, Aug 16 : Under the overall supervision of SSP Samba Benam Tosh, Police has arrested two notorious bovine smugglers, rescued bovine animals and seized vehicle used for transportation of bovines in the jurisdiction of Police Post Rakh Amb Talli falling under Police Station Samba.

The arrested notorious bovine smugglers have been identified as Teg Ali s/o Qasim Din r/o Chak Dhota district Kathua and Faroz Din s/o Ashek Asli r/o Manjla district Udhampur. A case FIR No.195/2023 u/s 188 IPC, 11 PCA Act has been registered under relevant sections of law at Police Station Samba through Police Post Rakh Amb Talli.

The bovine smugglers have been arrested by a police team headed by Incharge Police Post Rakh Amb Talli PSI Davinder Singh under the supervision of SHO Police Station Samba Rajeshwar Singh, DySP Garu Ram and Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary.

Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh said that total eighty four (84) bovine smugglers have been arrested by Samba Police in past seven months after the launch of special drive, sixty six (66) FIRs have been registered against bovine smugglers, fifty six (56) vehicles used for bovine smuggling have been seized and six hundred fifty three (653) bovine animals have been rescued in Samba district.
