SAMBA POLICE ARRESTS 6 HARDCORE DACOITS & THIEVES
Intensive drive against dacoits, robbers, snatchers & thieves underway : SSP Samba Benam Tosh
Samba, Jan 18 : Samba Police has arrested six (06) hardcore dacoits & thieves and seized one sharp-edged weapon and recovered looted cash, other looted / stolen items from their possession in the jurisdiction of Police Station Vijaypur, PS Ghagwal & PS Samba.
The arrested notorious dacoits and thieves have been identified as Balwinder Singh alias Billi s/o Harpal Singh r/o Randhwa Colony Vijaypur, Sunil Sharma alias Kadhu s/o Babu Ram r/ o Gagore Vijaypur, Abhishek Kumar alias Panku s/o Ashok Kumar r/o Arazi Samba, Sohan Lal s/o Sardari Lal r/o Karandi Samba, Kashiv Sharma alias Tundu alias Daana s/o Vijay Kumar r/o Hamirpur tehsil Mahreen district Kathua and Ram Paul alias Kaka s/o Raj Kumar r/o Hamirpur tehsil Mahreen district Kathua.
The hardcore dacoits Balwinder Singh alias Billi, Sunil Sharma alias Kadhu and Abhishek Kumar alias Panku have been arrested in dacoity case FIR No. 05/2024 u/s 395, 341, 34 IPC, 4/25 Arms Act of PS Vijaypur and looted & other costly items have been recovered from them. Police has also seized one sharp-edged weapon.
The notorious thief Sohan Lal has been arrested in case FIR No.19/2024 u/s 457, 380 IPC of PS Samba and police has recovered stolen bike and other stolen items from his possession.The notorious thieves Kashiv Sharma alias Tundu alias Daana and Ram Paul alias Kaka have been arrested in case FIR No. 04/2024 US 379 IPC of PS Ghagwal.
Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh told that intensive drive against dacoits, robbers, snatchers and thieves is underway in Samba district and record one hundred eighty seven (187) thieves have been arrested and eighty eight (88) theft cases solved by Samba Police in short span of time.
