SAMBA POLICE ARRESTS DRUG PEDDLER WITH 5.34 GRAMS HEROIN

Samba, March 29: Continuing its drive against narcotic smugglers/ peddlers, Samba Police has arrested a drug peddler in the jurisdiction of Police Station Samba and recovered 5.34 grams approx. heroin from his possession.

Police teams of PP SIDCO Samba and PS Samba during joint patrolling in Basantar river area near Shamshan Ghat SIDCO Phase-I, intercepted a person who was moving under suspicious circumstances. During frisking of said person, police has recovered 5.34 grams approx. heroin from his possession. 

The arrested drug peddler has been identified as Mohd Farooq Ahmed @ Bothu S/o Liaqat Ali, R/o Meen Sarkar, Sarore tehsil Bari Brahmana District Samba.

A case FIR No. 82/2024 u/s 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Samba and investigation started.
