SAMBA POLICE BUSTED GANG OF THIEVES, ARRESTED 3 NOTORIOUS THIEVES INCLUDING KINGPIN

181 Thieves Arrested, 88 Theft Cases Solved In Short Span : SSP Samba Benam Tosh

     Samba, Jan 15 : Samba Police has busted gang of thieves, arrested three notorious thieves including kingpin, seized vehicle used for committing thefts and recovered  stolen items worth rupees 90000.00 approximately in the jurisdiction of police station Ghagwal. 

The arrested thieves have been identified as Omkar Bhagat alias Gushu s/o Raj Kumar and Roop Lal alias Roopa s/o Bodh Raj both r/o Hamirpur, tehsil Marheen, district Kathua and Sourav Sharma alias Kalu s/o Ram Krishan r/o Sandi tehsil Ghagwal, district Samba.

 Omkar Bhagat alias Gushu was the kingpin of the gang of notorious thieves involved in series of thefts in Samba district during midnight hours whereas the other thieves used to commit thefts at the instance of kingpin ‘’Gushu’’. 

The accused have been arrested in case FIR No. 04/2024 u/s 379 IPC PS Ghagwal and case FIR No. 01/2024 u/s 454/380 IPC PS Ghagwal. Further investigation is underway and Police raids are on to arrest all the thieves involved in the notorious gang.

Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh said that record one hundred eighty one (181) thieves have been arrested and eighty eight (88) theft cases have been solved by Samba Police in short span of time and police is achieving major successes one after the other in ongoing intensive drive against thieves in Samba district.
