Samba, Dec 13 : Samba police has filed charge-sheet against five accused including husband & two ladies in dowry death case of young pregnant lady, Jyoti Devi of Redwan Ramgarh in the court of law .
On 22.06.2023, Police had initiated inquest proceedings at Police Station Ramgarh vide DDR No. 21 to ascertain the actual cause of death of 24-year-old Jyoti Devi w/o Kala Ram r/o Redwan tehsil Ramgarh district Samba whose marriage was solemnized just one & half year before and who was on family way having eight months unborn child and who died under mysterious circumstances with her unborn child. Police had conducted inquest in highly professional manner, collected scientific, documentary & oral evidence & concluded that it was a dowry death case as the deceased was subjected to cruelty and harassment making demand of dowry by the accused immediately before her mysterious death. Police had converted inquest proceedings u/s 174 CrPC into FIR No.69/2023 U/S 304 -B, 313 IPC and started investigation. Five accused including husband had been arrested in the instant case and are in jail on judicial remand.
Police has completed the investigation of the case, proved offence against five accused and produced challan of the case in the Hon'ble court of Addl. Special Mobile Magistrate, Samba for judicial determination.
The accused against whom challan has been produced in the court of law are : Kala Ram ( husband of the deceased ) s/o Parkash Chand, Satpal s/o Parkash Chand, Parshotam lal @ Bodh raj s/o Parkash Chand, Darshana Devi w/o Parshotam lal and Lovely Rani w/o Satpal all r/o Redwan tehsil Ramgarh district Samba.
Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh said that Police is expeditiously solving mysterious death cases and professionally completing investigations on merit in time-bound manner in Samba district and all accused involved in abetment to suicides, dowry deaths, domestic violence, harassment and torture of the deceased persons are being brought to book.
