SAMBA POLICE FOILED MAJOR BOVINE SMUGGLING ATTEMPT, ARRESTED 2 NOTORIOUS BOVINE SMUGGLERS, RESCUED 34 ANIMALS

    Samba, Jan 11 : Samba police foiled major bovine smuggling attempt at Mansar today, arrested  two notorious bovine smugglers, rescued 34 bovines and seized  two trucks. 

   The arrested notorious bovine smugglers have been identified as Joginder Lal s/o Sain Das r/o Chatha, Satwari district Jammu and Rehmet Ali s/o Swar Din r/o Jakhar district Udhampur.

Two Cases --- FIR No. 13/2024 u/s 188 IPC, 11 PCA Act and FIR No.14/2024 u/s 188 IPC, 11 PCA Act have been registered at Police Station Samba and investigation is underway.

According to Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh, a total of one hundred fourteen (114) notorious bovine smugglers have been arrested by Samba Police in short span of time after the launch of special drive, ninety four (94) FIRs have been registered against bovine smugglers, eighty two (82) vehicles used for bovine smuggling have been seized and eight hundred eighty six (886) bovine animals have been rescued in Samba district.
