SAMBA POLICE FOILED TWO MAJOR BOVINE SMUGGLING ATTEMPTS, ARRESTED 2 BOVINE SMUGGLERS, RESCUED 36 BOVINES

Samba, April 5: Continuing its drive against bovine smugglers and their propagators, Samba Police has foiled two major bovine smuggling attempts during the intervening night of 03/04-04-2024 in the jurisdiction of Police Station Bari Brahmana & Police Station Samba, arrested two bovine smugglers and rescued thirty six bovines.

A police party of Police Station Bari Brahmana headed by SHO PS Bari Brahmana during vehicle checking at Naka Balole Bridge Bari Brahmana, intercepted a truck bearing registration No. UP12T-6057 coming from Jammu side for its checking. During checking of said vehicle, twenty two bovines were found laden inside the vehicle which were tied in a cruel manner and were being transported illegally without any valid permission.

The bovine smuggler identified as Mustkim S/o Abdul Wahid R/o Mahank Mau district Saharanpur (UP) has been arrested.

A case FIR No.45/2024 U/S 188 IPC, 11 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Bari Brahmana and investigation started.

Likewise, a police party of Police Post Goran headed by Incharge PP Goran has successfully foiled another major bovine smuggling attempt, arrested bovine smuggler and rescued fourteen bovines which were being smuggled by foot via Dhaki Khad area.

The arrested bovine smuggler has been identified as Altaf Hussian S/o Haji Yousaf R/o Surara district Samba.

A case FIR No.88/2024 U/S 188 IPC has been registered at Police Station Samba and investigation started.
