SAMBA POLICE FOILS BOVINE SMUGGLING ATTEMPT: ARRESTS 02 BOVINE SMUGGLERS, RESCUES 04 BOVINES

Samba, May 19, 2025: Continuing its drive against bovine smugglers and their propagators, Samba Police has successfully foiled bovine smuggling attempt in the jurisdiction of Police Station Ramgarh, arrested two bovine smugglers and rescued four bovines from the clutches of bovine smugglers. The vehicle used in the illegal transportation of bovines was also seized.

Acting on reliable information regarding smuggling of bovines in an Auto load carrier bearing registration No. JK02CW-1995, a Police team headed by SHO PS Ramgarh successfully intercepted the said vehicle at Jhang for its checking. During checking of the vehicle, four bovines were found inside the vehicle which were tied in a cruel manner and were being transported illegally without any valid permission.

The bovine smugglers identified as Atar Ali S/o Jamat Ali R/o Kiryani Talab Narwal district Jammu and Gulzar Ahmed S/o Bhag Ali R/o Nawabad Sunjwan district Jammu have been arrested

A case FIR No. 33/2025 u/s 223 BNS, 11 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Ramgarh and investigation started.
