SAMBA POLICE FOILS BOVINE SMUGGLING BID: RESCUES BOVINES, SEIZES VEHICLE
Samba, December 30: Continuing its drive against bovine smugglers and their propagators, Samba Police has foiled bovine smuggling attempt in the jurisdiction of Police Station Samba, rescued two bovines from the clutches of bovine smugglers and seized vehicle used for illegal transportation of bovines.
A Police team led by Incharge Police Post Supwal falling under Police Station Samba while performing vehicle checking duty at NHW Supwal, intercepted a Tata Sumo bearing registration No. JK02AH-4492 coming from Kathua side for checking. During checking of the vehicle, two bovines were found laden inside which were tied in a cruel manner and were being transported illegally without any valid permission. All the rescued bovines have been shifted to a safer place.
A case FIR No. 334/2024 U/S 223 BNS, 11 PCA Act has been registered at PS Samba and investigation started.
