SAMBA POLICE FOILS TWO MAJOR BOVINE SMUGGLING ATTEMPTS, RESCUES 36 BOVINES
Samba, March 22: Acting sternly against bovine smugglers and their propagators, Samba Police has foiled two major bovine smuggling attempts during the intervening night of 21/22-03-2024 in the jurisdiction of Police Station Ghagwal & Police Station Samba and rescued thirty six bovines from the clutches of bovine smugglers. Acting on reliable information regarding smuggling of bovines by foot via Sanoora area of Rajpura, a Police team of Police Post Rajpura headed by Incharge PP Rajpura has successfully foiled major bovine smuggling attempt and rescued twenty one bovines which were being smuggled by foot in a very cruel manner from Kathua side towards Samba side via border area. A case FIR No.35/2024 U/S 188 IPC, 11 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Ghagwal and investigation started. Likewise, a police party of Police Post Rakh Amb Talli headed by Incharge PP Rakh Amb Talli has foiled another major bovine smuggling attempt and rescued fifteen bovines which were being smuggled by foot in a very cruel manner. A case FIR No.75/2024 U/S 188 IPC, 11 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Samba and investigation started.
