SAMBA POLICE INTENSIFIES ACTION AGAINST MINING MAFIA, 9 DUMPERS SEIZED IN 24 HOURS
134 Vehicles Seized For Illegal Mining In Seven & Half Months : SSP Samba Benam Tosh
Samba, September 6 : In a major move against the Mining Mafia, Samba Police on the directions of Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh has intensified action against them and nine more dumpers have been seized in last 24 hours. Police teams comprising of SHO Police Station Samba Daljeet Singh, SHO Police Station Bari Brahmana Sumeet Sharma, I/C PP Rajpura SI Hardev Singh and I/C PP Supwal ASI Balbir Kumar under the supervision of DySP Garu Ram, SDPO Bari Brahmana Rahul Nagar and Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary have seized nine (09) more dumpers being used for illegal mining at different locations in Samba district.The seized nine dumpers bearing registration Nos. JK21G-6256, JK21D-8256, JK21G-7877, JK21G-5049, JK21H-0059, JK21C-7295, JK21H-8191, JK21F-5282 and JK14H-1494.Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh said that total one hundred thirty four (134) vehicles have been seized in past seven and half months for illegal mining by Samba police after launching special drive against illegal mining. Police would continue checking the wrongdoings of mining mafia till illegal mining is completely stopped in the district. It is pertinent to mention that some news items are appearing in the media that illegal mining is still going on despite the ban on it in rainy season.
