SAMBA POLICE NABBED HARDCORE MURDER ACCUSED “GILKA” ALONGWITH HIS 6 AIDERS

Samba, Jan 21 : Exhibiting high degree of professionalism, Samba Police has nabbed hardcore criminal Gilka from Doda, who was arrested in Akshay murder case of Gudwal Ramgarh & had escaped from Police Station Ramgarh. Six aiders & harbourers of “Gilka” have also been arrested by police after series of raids in Jammu, Doda and Samba districts.
The hardened criminal Sahil Sharma alias Gilka s/o Rakesh Kumar r/o Near Railway Fatak Vijaypur has been arrested alongwith his six aiders & harbourers identified as Vishwajeet Kotwal s/o Joginder Singh r/o Parnote Premnagar, Sahil Kumar alias Labbu s/o Sham Lal r/o Paloura Jammu, Sushil Kumar s/o Sham Lal r/o Paloura Jammu, Prabhjot alias Minni s/o Mohar Singh r/o Gandoh district Doda A/P Paloura Jammu, Naresh Sharma alias Chuchu s/o Raman Kumar r/o Mahal Shah Ramgarh and Rahul Sharma s/o Sat Pal r/o Rarian, Ramgarh.
A police party of Police Station Ramgarh rushed to Doda previous midnight and arrested Gilka from Panthan, Premnagar district Doda. Gilka was arrested in Akshay murder case of Gudwal Ramgarh FIR No. 93/2023 u/s 302, 148, 149 IPC, 3/4/25 Arms Act PS Ramgarh and on account of his escaping from police custody, one more case FIR No. 6/2024 u/s 224 IPC has been registered against him at Police Station Ramgarh.
The hardcore accused Sahil Sharma alias Gilka has been involved and is involved in seven cases of heinous nature like attempt to murder, extortion, Arms Act, criminal intimidation and assaults cases registered in Police Station Vijaypur and Police Station Ramgarh viz case FIR No. 39/2015 u/s 307, 341, RPC, 4/25 Arms Act PS Vijaypur, case FIR No. 16/2016 u/s 504, 506 RPC, 3/25 Arms Act PS Vijaypur, case FIR No. 141/2016 u/s 307, 341, 323, 34 RPC, 4/25 Arms Act PS Vijaypur, case FIR No. 12/2022 u/s 382 IPC, 4/25 Arms Act PS Ramgarh, case FIR No. 40/2022 u/s 341, 504, 506 IPC, 4/25 Arms Act PS Vijaypur, case FIR No. 93/2023 u/s 302, 148, 149 IPC, 3/4/25 Arms Act PS Ramgarh and case FIR No. 6/2024 u/s 224 IPC PS Ramgarh. He was also evading detention under PSA since last one year.
Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh said that police is exhibiting high degree of professionalism everywhere and is committed to arrest all the accused involved in Akshay murder case and their aiders, abettors & harbourers under law and nobody involved in the criminal conspiracy directly or indirectly would be spared.
