SAMBA POLICE ORGANIZED DRUG AWARENESS PROGRAMME AT GHS RARIAN

BE READY TO PARTICIPATE IN MORE YOUTH-ORIENTED POLICE PROGRAMMES IN SAMBA DISTRICT : SSP BENAM TOSH TO STUDENTS

Samba, Oct 13 : Police today organised impressive drug awareness programme under CAP at Govt. High School Rarian in the jurisdiction of Police Station Ramgarh where hundreds of students of Govt. High School Rarian, parents, teachers, PRIs, prominent citizens and police officers witnessed the speech delivering competition.

SSP Samba Benam Tosh, Addl. SP Samba Surinder Choudhary, SDPO Vijaypur Rohit Kumar and SHO Police Station Ramgarh Amit Kumar presented certificates and cash rewards of rupees 12000.00, 8000.00 and 5000.00 to the first, second and third best student speakers namely Shilpy Dogra, Riya Rani and Khushi respectively, whereas five other student speakers namely Nandani Devi, Aman Mahey, Manshu, Kritika Sharma and Ekta Chouhan were also felicitated with certificates & cash rewards of rupees 2000.00 each. 

A large number of students of Govt. High School Rarian participated in today’s anti-drug awareness programme Sarpanch Rarian Nirmala Devi, Sarpanch Gurwal Mohan Lal Sharma and Incharge Headmistress Govt. High School Rarian Veena Kumari thanked the police for organizing impressive anti-drug awareness programmes at Rarian to generate awareness among students and public against drug abuse. Additional SP Samba also spoke on the occasion and asked youth to stay away from narcotic substances. 

On the occasion, Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh asked the students to be ready to participate in more youth-oriented police programmes in Samba district very shortly. Police would organize more seminars, symposium, debates, cultural competitions and sports events at different schools and colleges to eradicate drug abuse in Samba district, he added. SSP Samba further said that a friendly bond between police and students has been built-up in the district owing to regular interactions during police awareness programmes. Students can now directly share any information or their issues to SSP, Addl. SP, SDPOs and SHOs without any hesitation. Nobody would be allowed in Samba district to flourish with illicit drug smuggling, supplying and peddling and Police has almost controlled the drug menace by arresting top suppliers and booking others, SSP added.
