SAMBA POLICE ORGANIZED DRUG AWARENESS SYMPOSIUM AT KOULPUR

Samba, Dec 23 : Police today organised drug awareness symposium under CAP at Govt. High School Koulpur in the jurisdiction of Police Station Ramgarh where hundreds of students of Govt. & private schools, parents, teachers, PRIs, prominent citizens and police officers witnessed the speech delivering competition.
SSP Samba Benam Tosh, Addl. SP Samba Surinder Choudhary, SDPO Vijaypur Rohit Kumar, DySP PC Samba Garu Ram Bhardwaj, DySP DAR Samba Surinder Mohan and SHO Police Station Ramgarh Amit Kumar presented certificates and cash rewards of rupees 10000.00, 8000.00 and 5000.00 to the first, second and third best student speakers namely Rubina Koushar of GHS Koulpur, Saniya Kour of GHS Koulpur and Reetika Devi of GMS Chak Salarian respectively, whereas five other student speakers namely Sudhir Kumar, Harpreet Kour, Ketan Samyal, Natish Singh and Deepika Kumari were also felicitated with certificates & cash rewards of rupees 2000.00 each.
Hundreds of students of Govt. High School Koulpur, Govt. Middle School Chak Salarian, MIER Higher Secondary School Koulpur and JK Bharti High School Koulpur participated in today’s anti-drug awareness programme. Sarpanch Koulpur Jasbir Singh and Headmistress Govt. High School Koulpur Ms. Shakuntla Devi thanked the police for organizing impressive anti-drug awareness programmes at Koulpur to generate awareness among students and public against drug abuse. Additional SP Samba also spoke on the occasion and asked youth to stay away from narcotic substances.
On the occasion, Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh said that police would organize more seminars, symposium, debates, cultural competitions and sports events at different schools and colleges in Samba district in near future and urged upon the students to take part in all such activities with great enthusiasm. SSP appealed the students to spread anti- drug awareness among friends, youth, parents, guardians, relatives and make it a mass movement against drugs especially heroin called "chitta". SSP said that police is on job to nab all those involved in narco-business in Samba district and nobody would be allowed in Samba district to flourish with illicit drug smuggling, supplying and peddling.
