SAMBA POLICE ORGANIZED GRAND DRUG AWARENESS PROGRAMME AT GHSS NANDPUR

Police Going To Organize 22 More Awareness Progs. In Samba District This Year : SSP Samba Benam Tosh

Samba, Oct 4 : Samba Police today organised grand drug awareness programme under CAP at Govt. Higher Secondary School Nandpur in Ramgarh Sector where hundreds of students of seven schools including one Govt. higher secondary school, two high schools, four middle schools, parents, lecturers, teachers, PRIs, prominent citizens and police officers witnessed the speech delivering competition.

SSP Samba Benam Tosh, Addl. SP Samba Surinder Choudhary, SDPO Vijaypur Rohit Kumar and SHO Police Station Ramgarh Amit Kumar presented certificates and cash rewards of rupees 10000.00, 8000.00 and 4000.00 to the first, second and third best student speakers namely Mansi Devi of GHSS Nandpur, Kanika Devi of GMS Dug Barmala & Sania Choudhary of GHS Mahal Shahan respectively, whereas five other student speakers namely Harpreet Kour, Randeep Kour, Kartik Jamwal, Bhupinder Kour and Kashish Choudhary were also felicitated with certificates & cash rewards of rupees 2000.00 each.  

Hundreds of students of Govt. Higher Secondary School Nandpur, Govt. High School Mahal Shahan, Govt. High School Chhowani, Govt. Middle School Abtal, Govt. Middle School Dug Barmala and Govt. Middle School Khour Salarian participated in today’s anti-drug awareness programme. BDC Chairman Darshan Singh, Sarpanch Hira Chak Roop Lal and Principal Govt. Higher Secondary School Nandpur Bishamber Dass Sharma thanked the police for organizing grand anti-drug awareness programmes at Nandpur to generate awareness among students and public against drug abuse. Additional SP Samba also spoke on the occasion and asked youth to stay away from narcotic substances. 

On the occasion, Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh said that police is going to organize 22 more awareness programmes in Samba district this year. Police would organize more seminars, symposium, debates, cultural competitions and sports events at different schools and colleges to eradicate drug abuse in Samba district. SSP Samba further said that Police is acting as parents and guardians of students and would provide required counselling including training to the NCC cadets at the schools and colleges and would remain intimately associated with one and all in the district so as to elicit actionable information and help the needy as and when required. Police would not differentiate between male and female as far as illicit heroin smuggling and supplying is concerned and strong action under law would be taken against criminals, he added.
