SAMBA POLICE ORGANIZED SYMPOSIUM ON DRUG MENACE AT MAHAL SHAHAN (RAMGARH)

Samba, Dec 5 : Police today organised impressive drug awareness programme under CAP at Govt. High School Mahal Shahan in the jurisdiction of Police Station Ramgarh where hundreds of students of several Govt. & private schools, parents, teachers, PRIs, prominent citizens and police officers witnessed the speech delivering competition.
SSP Samba Benam Tosh, Addl. SP Samba Surinder Choudhary, SDPO Vijaypur Rohit Kumar and SHO Police Station Ramgarh Amit Kumar presented certificates and cash rewards of rupees 10000.00, 8000.00 and 4000.00 to the first, second and third best student speakers namely Sania Choudhary of GHS Mahal Shahan, Neha Devi of GHS Mahal Shahan and Muskaan Choudhary of GHS Mahal Shahan respectively, whereas five other student speakers namely Varsha Devi, Shvangi Bhagat, Chahat, Diksha Angural and Akshra were also felicitated with certificates & cash rewards of rupees 2000.00 each.
Hundreds of students of Govt. High School Mahal Shahan, Govt. Middle School Mandalyal, New Shiksha Kendra and Paniel Mission Public School participated in today’s anti-drug awareness programme. Sarpanch Mahal Shahan and Headmaster Govt. High School Mahal Shahan Surinder Kumar Balgotra thanked the police for organizing impressive anti-drug awareness programmes at Mahal Shahan to generate awareness among students and public against drug abuse. Additional SP Samba also spoke on the occasion and asked youth to stay away from narcotic substances.
On the occasion, Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh said that friendly relations of police with students & their families which have been built-up over the short span in Samba district because of regular interactions during police awareness programmes would be maintained. SSP further said that J&K police is organizing various youth-oriented activities to nurture their talents so that they become better citizens of tomorrow and serve the nation with pride. Students can now directly share any information or their issues with SSP, Addl. SP, SDPOs, SHOs and I/C PPs without any hesitation. SSP said that police is taking strong action against those involved in heroin trafficking in Samba district and toughest possible legal measures are being taken to deal with them.
