SAMBA POLICE ORGANIZES ANTI DRUG AWARENESS PROGRAMMES AT 06 EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTES INCLUDING SCHOOLS AND COLLEGES: DISTRIBUTES 25 SCHOOL KITS, CASH REWARDS UNDER CAP

Samba, March 29, 2025: Samba Police has today organized six anti-drug awareness programmes, aiming to sensitize the students about the ill effects of drug abuse, at Govt. Polytechnic College Samba, Govt. Hr. Sec. School Rajpura, Govt. Boys Hr. Sec. School Samba, Govt. Middle School Chak Manga Rakwal, Govt. Primary School Parthari Channi Mansar and Govt. Middle School Budwani which were attended by large number of students, teachers and staff members.
The programme at GHSS Rajpura organized under Civic Action Programme (CAP) was presided over DySP Hqrs Samba accompanied by SHO PS Ghagwal and Incharge PP Rajpura in which students from Govt. Hr. Sec. School Rajpura, Modern Sharma Hr. Sec. School Rajpura, Shri Narsingh Vidya Peeth Hr. Sec. School Rajpura and World Model Hr. Sec. School had participated. The first, second and third best performers were presented cash rewards of rupees 10000, 8000 and 6000 respectively, whereas seven other participating students were also felicitated with consolation cash prizes of rupees 2000 each.
In other programmes at Govt. Polytechnic College Samba, Govt. Boys Hr. Sec. School Samba, Govt. Middle School Chak Manga Rakwal, Govt.Primary School Parthari Channi Mansar and Govt. Middle School Budwani all in the jurisdiction of Police Station Samba, J&K Police has donated 25 school kits comprising of school bags and stationary items to the students under CAP.
The efforts of J&K Police in promoting awareness about the negative impact of drug abuse were highly appreciated by the school management and the attendees.
