SAMBA POLICE PRESENTED CHALLAN IN THE COURT OF LAW AGAINST 09 CRIMINALS INVOLVED IN ATTACK ON POLICE AT RAJPURA IN DEC 2022

Police On Job To Complete Investigations Of Attack On Police Cases On Priority : SSP Samba Benam Tosh

Samba, July 31 : Under the overall guidance of Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh, Samba police has presented challan in the court of law for judicial determination against nine criminals involved in the attack on police in December 2022 at Rajpura in the jurisdiction of Police Station Ghagwal, District Samba.

The accused against whom the offences have been proved by police and challan has been produced in the court of law are : Shav Ali alias Gagu s/o Sher Din r/o Handa Chack tehsil Marian district Kathua, Mohd Sadiq alias Shikhu s/o Taz Din r/o Chack Bathal Kathua, Sadiq Ali s/o Guggar r/o Lakhri Nagrota Udhampur A/P Haripur tehsil Marian district Kathua, Maskeen Ali alias Jattu s/o Kaju r/o Manyari district Kathua, Makhan Din, Zahoor, Mohd Sharief all sons of Hussian, Roshan Bibi w/o Makhan Din and Moju s/o Gaya all residents of Village Malahani tehsil Ghagwal district Samba.

On 28th of December 2022, the above mentioned criminals/bovine smugglers attacked the police party of Police Post Rajpura while they were on patrolling duties due to which one Head Constable had sustained grievous head injuries with nine stiches in the head and had to be hospitalized. A case FIR No.181/2022 u/s 307,353,336,332,323,325,147,148 IPC was registered at Police Station Ghagwal and investigation was conducted in professional manner. After completing the investigation, police closed the case as challan and produced the same in the court of law for judicial determination.

Senior Superintendent of Police Samba, Benam Tosh said that police are on job to complete investigations on priority, especially of the cases in which police parties while performing patrolling duties were attacked by smugglers/criminals and perpetrators of assault on police are being arrested and challaned following proper procedure under law.
