SAMBA POLICE SEIZED 10 MORE VEHICLES INCLUDING EXCAVATOR FOR ILLEGAL MINING

260 vehicles seized for illegal mining in short span : SSP Samba Benam Tosh

Samba, Jan 10 : Continuing vigorous drive against illegal mining, Police have seized ten (10) more vehicles including one excavator being used for illegal mining in district Samba. Police teams of Police Station Ghagwal, Police Station Samba, Police Station Ramgarh, Police Post Rakh Amb Talli, Police Post Supwal and Police Post SIDCO Samba have seized ten (10) more vehicles including one excavator being used for illegal mining at their respective jurisdictional areas. The seized vehicles are one (01) excavator without registration No., one (01) dumper bearing registration No JK08J-2177, four (04) tractor trolleys bearing registration No. JK02BF-4536, JK21J-4798, JK21H-3764, JK21J-8875 and four (04) tractor trolleys without bearing registration Nos. Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh said that a total of two hundred sixty (260) vehicles have been seized in short span of time for illegal mining by Samba police after launching special drive against illegal mining. In 2023, police also registered FIRs and arrested accused who were involved in illegal mining. Police would not allow illegal mining in Samba district and would take yet more stringent action against mining mafia in Samba district, in case illegal mining not stopped completely.
