SAMBA POLICE SEIZED 595 BOTTLES OF ILLICIT LIQUOR: ARRESTED BOOTLEGGER
Samba, June 2, 2025: Continuing its drive against the sale of illicit liquor in the district, Samba Police has seized 595 bottles of illicit liquor of 180 ml each in the jurisdiction of Police Station Ramgarh and arrested the bootlegger.
Acting on reliable information regarding sale of illicit liquor in Rara area by one Kala Ram S/o Sunder Dass R/o Rara tehsil Ramgarh district Samba, a police party of Police Station Ramgarh carried out search in the area and recovered 595 bottles of JK Special Whisky of 180 ml each from the area near the house of said accused person. However, the said accused fled away from the spot on seeing police party by taking advantage of the darkness.
With continuous strenuous efforts, Police team successfully nabbed the said bootlegger namely Kala Ram S/o Sunder Dass R/o Rara tehsil Ramgarh district Samba who was indulged in selling of illicit liquor to general public in the area.
A case FIR No. 38/2025 under Section 48(f) of the Excise Act has been registered at PS Ramgarh and investigation started.
