SAMBA POLICE SEIZES 3 VEHICLES INCLUDING EXCAVATOR FOR ILLEGAL MINING
Samba, Feb 11 : In continuation to its drive against illegal mining, Samba Police has seized three vehicles including one excavator in the jurisdiction of Police Station Samba which were being used for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material.
A Police party of Police Post Rakh Amb Tali headed by Incharge Police Post Rakh Amb Tali along with Mining Department Samba has seized one JCB 3DX and one Dumper bearing regd. No.JK02CB-6454 for illegal mining in Basantar river bed.
Similarly, Police party of Police Post Supwal headed by Incharge Police Post Supwal has intercepted a tractor trolley without regd. No. for checking during surprise naka check point established near Gujjar Basti, Barian. During checking, the driver of the said vehicle failed to produce valid document and was found illegally transporting construction material.
The above mentioned vehicles have been seized by Samba Police and handed over to Geology & Mining Department, Samba for further action.
