SAMBA POLICE SEIZES 5 VEHICLES FOR ILLEGAL MINING
Samba, April 21: Continuing its drive against illegal mining in the district, Samba Police has seized five vehicles across district Samba which were being used for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material.
In police sub-division Samba, Police teams headed by SHO Police Station Samba, SHO Police Station Ghagwal, Incharge Police Post Supwal and Incharge Police Post Mansar while performing patrolling duty in their respective jurisdictional areas, have seized three dumpers bearing registration Nos. JK08K-9721, JK21-8772 & JK21G-5779 and one tractor trolley without registration No. for illegal mining/ transportation of construction material in the area.
Similarly, a Police party of Police Station Vijaypur headed by SHO PS Vijaypur has seized one dumper bearing registration No. JK14B-9029 at Naka AIIMS for illegal mining/transportation in the area.
The above mentioned vehicles have been seized by Samba Police and handed over to Geology & Mining Department, Samba for further action.
