Senior IAS Officer Sushma Chauhan Appointed Joint Secretary in MHA
New Delhi, March 21, 2025 – Senior IAS officer Sushma Chauhan, from the J&K-AGMUT cadre, has been elevated to the position of Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).
A 2009-batch officer of the erstwhile Jammu and Kashmir cadre, Chauhan has held several key administrative roles in J&K, including serving as the Deputy Commissioner of Jammu. Before this elevation, she was posted as Director in the MHA, where she played a crucial role in policy and governance matters.
Her extensive experience in administration and governance is expected to contribute significantly to her new role in the ministry.
