Several IPS Officers of AGMUT (25 from J&K) Cadre Promoted to Junior Administrative Grade

In a significant career advancement, the Ministry of Home Affairs has promoted several Indian Police Service (IPS) officers from the Joint AGMUT (Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram and Union Territory) cadre to the Junior Administrative Grade (Level-12 in the Pay Matrix). This promotion, effective from the dates mentioned against their names, recognizes the officers’ commitment and service.

The officers promoted belong to the 2011 to 2016 batches, with a total of 51 officers advancing to the higher rank. Notable names include Tumme Amo, Apang Tamut, Maqsood-ul-Zaman, Mubassir Latifi Ameer, Shiv Kumar, and Rajeshwar Singh from the 2011 batch.

From the 2016 batch, officers like Ketan Bansal, Sheema Nabi Qasba, P. D. Nitya, Sudhanshu Dhama, and Anuj Kumar have also received promotions. This elevation to the Junior Administrative Grade signifies their increased responsibilities and contributions to law enforcement across the AGMUT cadre regions.
